When Body Building Gives Way to Mental Stress

Brench Press

Many people have bothered themselves so much about learning how to build muscles. These people have different motivations, though, and they just seem to be so strongly convinced that they must build their bodies strong and sturdy.

There are, on the other hand, some disadvantages to actually forcefully motivating yourself to build up a sturdy body. One of the worst effects of the wrong motivations is suffering from mental stresses which would rather result to adverse health effects.

In order to help you see the case through, we could just digress a bit and examine even a few of the motivations currently taking over many of the minds of the supposedly healthy individuals.

Perhaps the worst of these motivations are those which could be straightly said to be not really that health-conscious. Such motivations include having a mere outward appearance that could generally be deemed as beautiful or gorgeous. That kind of motivation simply stirs up the mind of the really thinking individual, because that simply would seem to turn down the essence of why and how the body should be built up.

If individuals were only to maintain having a gorgeous body as the primary motive of eating healthily, then certainly there will come a point where they would be willing to make compromises just to accommodate the desires of their appetite. Apparently, the outward appearance is a self-centered motivation, and self-centered motives such as pleasing and feeding the baser passions would seem to dance with it. This does not work in the very same way with having the right and really healthy motivations.

Other related motivators which can be understood as essentially “wrong” include pleasing a lover, attracting a guy or a gal, being hip within a certain group, and being able to prove a challenge. Essentially, these are mere varieties of the basic selfish motivation which is best described as one that concerns only the outward. These motivators, when allowed to become the driving force of one’s life, will only then be leaving the person distressed for the rest of his life.

Of course, then, the picture has just been painted very clearly. Because of the wrong motivations, the body is forced to react in a way that would release hormones inappropriately. They will appear to release excitement and energy at the very first, boosting the individual into doing the very things required of him to supposedly gain and maintain a healthy body.  On the other hand, though, the inappropriate releases would only leave the mind distressed because they will have to be supplied continually in order to produce the same motivating effect. When the cycle is finally felt as tiring, the individual will then experience withdrawals to his natural affections and desires. He will then begin to desire those things which will actually kill the purpose of his dieting and exercising. He will soon become intemperate, since temperance was never a part of his original motivators anyway.

So what really is the right health motivator? It simply is health in and of itself. That alone would cut off your inclinations to any mental stress.
